Major Upgrades to Fernando “Nando” Sanabria Stadium

by PRIBL Media

Rincón, PR—The Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League (PRIBL) has announced plans to significantly upgrade Fernando "Nando" Sanabria Stadium, the league's home. Heavy rains in June caused severe flooding, and work is underway to address the damages and improve the facility's infrastructure in preparation for the 2025 season.

Among the significant improvements, a new drainage system has been installed, featuring an advanced pump system to prevent future flooding and improve field conditions. The renovation project also includes the installation of additional lights around the majority of the outfield poles, upgrades to the press box, a fresh coat of paint for the facility, improvements to the dugouts and locker rooms, the addition of a new bullpen section, and the cleaning and maintenance of the bleacher area.

"We are committed to ensuring this facility provides the best environment for our athletes and the local baseball community. With these upgrades, we are taking proactive steps to avoid future disruptions and provide a top-tier venue for the 2025 season," said Carlos Nuñez, president and founder of PRIBL. "We invite anyone interested in contributing to this project to reach out and discuss the various ways they can support."
