Frank Gonzales Joins PRIBL’s 2025 Winter Professional Development League Coaching Staff
Aguadilla, PR — The Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League (PRIBL) is pleased to announce the addition of experienced coach Frank Gonzales to the coaching staff of the 2025 Winter Professional Development League, an event designed for the development and exposure of professional players in a highly competitive environment before the start of the Major League Baseball (MLB) Partner Leagues.
Gonzales, the current manager of the Grand Junction Jackalopes in the Pioneer League, has an outstanding track record in professional baseball. With over 15 seasons as a coach and manager, he has made a significant impact on various organizations, including a solid career in the minor league system of the Colorado Rockies. He has also served as a pitching coach for the renowned Leones del Escogido in the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League.
During his time in the Pioneer League, he managed the Northern Colorado Owlz for two seasons, achieving an overall record of 99 wins and 90 losses. His experience includes roles as manager of the Grand Junction Rockies (2016-2017) and development coach for several Rockies affiliates, including the Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA), Hartford Yard Goats (AA), and Lancaster JetHawks (High-A). His leadership has been instrumental in shaping players who have reached the highest level of baseball.

Gonzales' impact on player development is undeniable. As a former professional player in the Detroit Tigers organization, he understands the demands of baseball at all levels. After retiring as a pitcher in 1997, he dedicated himself to coaching and player development, serving as a coach at Colorado State University and in high-level collegiate baseball.
